Cape Cod artist, Jennie Edgar, is a writer and visual artist with a research and concept-driven practice. She is curious about the rhythms of the ordinary, how we attune ourselves to the resonances of things, the ways meaning is constructed, and, in theorist Kathleen Stewart's words, how the writer or artist can render "the somethings that feel like something." In this way, Jennie’s practice is an interpretation of the composition of forms these phenomena take.
Jennie’s studio practice involves bookbinding, experimenting with text and image, syllabi, and working beyond the frame of the page. Jennie is a graduate of Connecticut College and Harvard Divinity School. She lives and works on Cape Cod.
Join us for an Opening Reception of new works by Jennie Edgar. Cocktails and artist meet and greet from 6-8pm.
